Trust model
Methodology and editorial safeguards
PrivacyTerrain monitors official public materials, but source changes never auto-publish. The public site is intentionally slower than raw detection because trust matters more than immediacy.
Operating model
- Fetch official legal texts, regulator guidance, and bulletins on a daily cadence.
- Detect hash-level changes and log change events without touching live field values.
- Generate candidate structured updates with evidence excerpts and confidence metadata.
- Require human approval, rejection, or edit before any public law-field-value is replaced.
- Rebuild public pages only from approved structured records with source traceability.
What we monitor
- Official lawsPrimary statutory texts and consolidated versions.
- Official regulatorsGuidance, FAQs, enforcement notices, and bulletins.
- Review metadataReviewer identity, timestamps, and source-linked evidence for public values.
Limits
- Not legal adviceUse this as a research aid, not a substitute for counsel.
- MVP scopeThe initial release covers five jurisdictions with room to expand.
- Language riskNon-English sources may require additional manual verification before publication.
